We both are addicted to searching or sniffing archives,
looking for our ancestors. Sometimes they also appear in Canada, US, and
maybe in the rest of the World! See the different genealogies below.
During time our sniffing skills improved (we're never too old to learn),
but also many archives now publish (some of) their records on the
internet. Despite the records found already, there are still some
ancestors found but still 'unlinked'.
- haveding -
the
original ancestors from Veldhausen in the Grafschaft Bentheim. Hindrik
went to Haren (via Hardenberg) from which my family originates. Much
data were retrieved from an existing genealogy made by Jan Haverdings
(from Borne) in ±1980 and from the church records of Veldhausen via
Theo Davina (Nordhorn) and Simon Hoppen, farmer and mayor of
Veldhausen, and the National Archives of Groningen and Zwolle.
- huijer -
the family originally from
the region of Hannover (Germany) that finally settled in Oost
Flakkee (Ooltgensplaat, Den Bommel). Most data retrieved
from National and Municipal Archives (Amsterdam, Haarlem,
Leiden, Middelburg, Middelharnis, Oude Tonge, Rotterdam).
Some data used from Tom Huijer genealogies.
- huijer -
a family originally from Zwolle.
Most data retrieved from the National Archive in Zwolle.
There are some links with Huijers from Amsterdam and
North-Holland.
- huijer -
a family from the province
of North-Holland, in particular from the Beemster region.
Some data from Keemink genealogies.
