This year just started ...
Highlights in 2025 ...
In January we had the
new years reception at Toppershoedje followed by the volunteers dinner.
In April we made a
flower cruise
with the MS Horizon. We left from Rotterdam and sailed to Gouda,
Zaandam, Alkmaar, Den Helder, Oude Schild (Texel) and back home via
Enkhuizen, Hoorn, Utrecht to Rotterdam.
Early May we had a "
beach party"
with a local photographer taking pictures of our family in the dunes and on
the beach of Ouddorp. A lot of sunshine and a strong cold wind!
In July we sailed with a
river cruise ship - the Serenade 2 - along the Rhine river up to Basel (and back ...).
On September 29th Wim got his long awaited eye surgery (endotheel
transplant) at the Eye Hospital Rotterdam. Under full anestesia the
surgeon also removed a lot of keratopathy (a kind of calcum deposits).
It was the (right) eye that needed a second transplant after 6 years.
On Saturday October 25th we celebrated
Anneke's 80th birthday
with a family boattrip Spido across the Rotterdam harbour, ending with
a dinner in the Pannenkoe (Pancake), next to the Randstadrail (metro)
station Rodenrijs.
